Last Call for Inscriptions on the HCs

Hardcover Scrawls
Hey, gang, at last the shipment of hardcover limited edition copies of Mama's Boy and Other Dark Tales are winging their way to me. I should have them sometime next week. If you've ordered a hardcover and would like an inscription, please let me know. You can post here or send me a message. If you have special instructions for your inscription (i.e. it's a gift for someone else), don't hesitate to tell me what you'd like written in your copy.

If you haven't ordered your hardcover copy yet and would still like to do so, you have a few days before I start scrawling my name on the books. There are limited edition numbered hardcover copies available at:

Apex Book Company and the Horror Mall

Of course the trade paperbacks are also available at Apex, Horror Mall, Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com. I'll be happy to sign those too if you ship them to me directly (just ask and I'll be happy to give you my shipping address).

Penmanship is not my forte so I can't promise legibility, but I'll try my best! *wink*

Wickedly Yours,
Fran Friel

A Chrispy Review and Nashville Paneling

A Happy First
I've been so bad--I have so many things I've wanted to tell you but I haven't gotten the chance. Forgive me for my absence, but I'll at least leave you with a couple of bits to chew on.

Mama's Boy and Other Dark Tales is nearing its release date of June 28th (yeehaw!) from Apex and I'm so happy to announce that along with its pending arrival comes its first review. A sweet one at that. I'm honored and thrilled.

Have a peek at a very Chrispy review from Chris Perridas at the Horror Mall:

If you want to take the plunge:

MB is available for pre-order HERE.

Nashville Paneling
I'll be making my first trip ever to Nashville TN is a couple of weeks, and now that I think about it, it will be my first trip to Tennessee...so yeehaw, ya'll. I'm heading down for Hypericon to promote the MB collection. If you're in town, be sure to come on by.

If you happen to stop in, I'll be yammering away on a couple of panels:

Friday 2PM
SHORT AND SCARY
Tips on writing short horror fiction and why it is harder than you think.
PS Gifford, Matt Wallace, Fran Friel, Bill Snodgrass, Jason Sizemore (moderator)

Saturday 7PM
HOOKED FROM THE START
Writers talk about how to hook the reader at the beginning of the story
Fran Friel, Allen Gilbreath, Sara Harvey, Elizabeth Donald

I'll also be doing a reading at 10:30PM on Friday and a book signing at 3PM on Friday and 5PM on Saturday (I think in the dealer's room area).

I hope to see you there! And if you can't make it, I'll do my best to take some pics to share with you when I get back.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Wickedly Yours,
Fran Friel
